Some of the many experiences on offer include horse riding, calf branding, cow milking, obstacle course and orienteering. A practical, experiment based land care session is facilitated by a qualified Science teacher and introduces students to the basic principles of sustainable land care. Visiting groups take advantage of a large undercover recreation area as well as a classroom-styled multipurpose room complete with TV and video. Other facilities available include a flood-lit tennis court, in-ground swimming pool, table-tennis and a large campfire area. An extensive well maintained lawn area is also on offer for ball games and the like. Virginia Park caters for large school groups with separate dormitory styled quarters for boys and girls and private rooms for accompanying adults. All meals are provided and visitors are always impressed by the delicious, home cooked dishes. With warm country hospitality and unique activities that only an outback station can provide, it is no wonder that many school visitors return to Virginia Park, year after year.
